« And you were there, and you were there... | Main | I was nervous, y'all! »
I went to dinner with some friends last night and told them about my husband hunt. K asked, "What kind of guy are you looking for?" and J just said, "Oh Lord..that's a long list of qualifications!" before I even opened my mouth.
Ok, so maybe I've been too picky. I guess after some unbelievably horrible relationships I've gone overboard on pre-qualifying events. That's probably normal after you date a guy that turned out to be a hooker and abusive, a pathological liar, a married man, and someone with a fake terminal disease.
So, I'm going to relax a few of my pre-qualifiers and just relax in general a little bit. But, seriously...(to paraphrase Charlotte) I've been dating since I was 15! I'm tired! Where is he?!

a good friend of mine says that dating is like trying to get a wild animal to come take a delicious treat out of your hand. if you stay very, very still and remain very, very calm, and speak in a quiet, soothing voice, a boyfriend (or wild animal) can SOMETIMES be enticed to take the treat. this is how all boyfriends are eventually domesticated. in fact, i'm trying this out tomorrow night - we'll see!

I had an ex of mine say once, that love is like a hole - if you look for it, you'll never fall into one. Cheesy - yet profound (I think, anyways)
