I have stopped wearing antiperspirant or deodorant. It's very very hot here in Texas. I sweat. I stink. I don't care. Well, yes...I do care. But, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it other than take a shower every day. In my defense, I don't stink until way late in the day and I've been outside...
And...it's not a bad stink like you can smell me when I walk in the room. But if you were leaning over my shoulder reading this right now you'd go..'Uhm, dude, you got a little b.o. action goin'."
I'm thinking of just buying some talcum powder. I'm not sure what my sudden opposition to antiperspirant is, maybe it's the aluminum that blocks the pores I think is unhealthy and may cause Alzheimer's or maybe it's that I usually buy antiperspirant at the grocery and I rarely go to that kind of store.
These are the things that worry my pretty little head...

Try some cornstarch--it's more absorbent and less pore-clogging than talc. For a little extra anti-stench boost you can toss in a little bit of baking soda (try a mix of 3/4 cup cornstarch and 1/4 cup baking soda and apply with a powder puff).

C - There are deodorants that don't use aluminum. I use Tom's Lavender (they have them at Target!): http://www.tomsofmaine.com/toms/product.asp?dept_id=500&pf_id=BW-ND
There's also JASON brand, which I haven't tried, but I've seen them at Target also:

They don't work as well at odor-protection as aluminum-containing brands, but they work a lot better than nothing at all!!!

have you tried any of the mineral salt deos? they'll do nothing for perspiration but the better ones will kill odors dead.
i tried them when i gave up the anti-perspirants for the same reason. i think it was two weeks before i fell off the wagon. i need that silky smooth feeling in my armpits that only a disease-causing agent can provide.
