Mystery Solved
We have been wondering what in the heck this building is going up downtown. All the other high-rise buildings have amazing PR folks that get them in the news all the time, but this one was so stealthy...and slow. Apparently they went down 65 feet below ground for underground parking before coming above ground. I think it's coming along pretty fast...
It was originally the Altavida, but now it's called the Ashton building. It will be apartments with live/work spaces for artists in some of the units. It has an amazing location and, at the very least, I'm glad I finally know what in the hell it is! Thanks Austin Skyscraper forum!
